A Brand Redesign for the Future
“To become a clearer and more attractive brand in the electric car charging industry, we need to change,” says Lasse Hult, CMO at Zaptec. “One of the changes we’re making is a redesign of our entire profile.”
The new visual identity marks a significant step in redefining Zaptec’s brand and positioning within the electric vehicle charging market.
Collaboration with Scandinavian Design Group
To develop the new profile, Zaptec teamed up with Scandinavian Design Group (SDG), one of the Nordic region’s leading agencies in brand management and design. This collaboration has resulted in a unique and compelling brand identity for the electric car charging industry.
A New Logo and Norwegian Inspiration
“Today, we are proud to reveal what we have been working on since summer 2020—a completely new visual identity that includes an upgraded logo,” says Helga Mørk, Brand Manager at Zaptec.
The new identity focuses on the experience and freedom of charging your car at home. Drawing from its Norwegian roots, Zaptec has incorporated these elements into its updated design through:
- A color palette inspired by Norway’s natural landscapes.
- A distinctive image style that reflects a greener, sustainable lifestyle.

Zaptec Launches a New Visual Identity and Zaptec Go
Alongside the introduction of a new visual identity, Zaptec is launching the world’s smallest smart electric car charger, Zaptec Go. The charger is available for purchase through Zaptec’s new online store or via authorized dealers.
A Nordic Touch for Global Expansion
The new identity aligns with Zaptec’s focus on international markets. As the company expands globally, it was natural to emphasize what defines Zaptec and its Nordic origins.
“It’s important for us to make electric car charging accessible to as many people as possible, so they can charge wherever they are. It’s a freedom,” says Anders Thingbø, CEO of Zaptec.
With internationalization, Zaptec aims to communicate its Nordic heritage clearly. From concept to design and production, everything is done in Norway, reflecting the brand’s commitment to quality and innovation.

The updated visual identity is being rolled out across all Zaptec’s channels.
